Go Jackets, GO!

1st football game tonight against Thomasville - rainy right now. As long as there is no thunder/lightning, the game and (most especially) the 1/2 time show will go on! Don and I are working the concession stand - free COKES, woo-hoo! I am so excited for Hannah! I can still remember the thrill of marching onto the football field with everyone cheering and clapping!

The weekend ~ at LAST!

Thankfully, the weekend is here. I fell victim to the flu Wednesday (no symptoms for Don :)) and the girls and I spent most of the week lying in bed, coughing and waiting for fevers to break. I believe, after multiple doses of Tylenol and Tamiflu, that we are "well". Hannah & Claire will go back to school Monday and I went back to work yesterday - to be greeted by 84 e-mails and a desk full of paperwork! Job security - Anywhooo... life is returning to normal and we can declare ourselves SURVIVORS of The Swine Flu Outbreak of 2009 - I think I'll have t-shirts made!

2 down, 2 to go?

Claire is the 2nd Sivyer victim of the Swine Flu - same sudden onset and almost the same time frame for fever, cough and vomiting. I hate to admit this but, my throat is scratchy and dry feeling, just like Hannah & Claire complained about at the beginning of their symptoms. I am just going to have to will myself not to be sick -- I am TOO busy at work and home to be sick now... ugh!

The Piggy has landed

We have the first case of confirmed H1N1 flu in the Sivyer family... Hannah. She is SO sick; fever of 102.6, nausea & vomiting, aches, chills, cough, sore throat, the WHOLE 9 YARDS! She is on Tamiflu but threw up her 1st dose - ugh :( Say a prayer that she can keep the next 4-1/2 doses down so she may start feeling better sooner. No school for our little Freshman for 1 week. Wonder which of us is next on this little piggy's journey...

A regular ol' weekend...

I am looking forward to this weekend for no reason in particular. I plan to clean the house, buy groceries and lay around the pool. Just a normal, quiet weekend for a change. We seem to stay on hyper-go most of the time and, now that school is back in session, the weeks just fly by. I truly enjoy the hub-bub and frenetic pace of Monday thru Friday but I SO enjoy the peace and quiet of coffee on the back porch on Saturday mornings before the girls get up and a leisurely Sunday afternoon after church by the pool.

We have begun the "Graduation" Countdown...

Well, it is official, Hannah has 3 years and 178 days until she graduates from TCCHS!!! She LOVES being a Freshman :) She loves her classes, she loves band, she loves her Math teacher (literally - he's so CUTE!), she LOVES having a locker... the list goes on.

Claire can't wait ... 1. for her first homework assignment 2. to get started on her Science Fair project 3. to finish FAHRENHEIT 451 so she can take an AR test... she LOVES school!

Don is tired but happy. I am tired but happy. The dogs are FAT but happy.

Life in the Sivyer house is good. Thank you, Lord :)
